Our experience with laser assisted surgery at the ENT clinic, Charles University Hospital and Medical School in Pilsen

Abstract
The first surgery using a laser at the ENT clinic of the Charles University Hospital and Medical School in Pilsen was performed in the year 2002. Since then doctors at the ENT clinic have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of invasive lasers, compare their features and comment on their potential use in the field of ENT.
Today laser medicine is an expanding field which - when used in right indications - offers numerous advantages to a pacient: peroperatively, as well as du to the minimal invasiveness and postoperation period. The set of tested and evaluated lasers at the ENT clinic in Pilsen is one of the largest in the Czech Republic.
