Administrative penalties for violations of consumer rights in the Czech Republic and Hungary

Abstract

The aim is to determine the effectiveness of the administrative law enforceability of consumer rights. First, briefly discuss the consumer aquis, which prescribe a requirement of effective and deterrent sanctions.

Then the following questions: How clear is the allocation of competences between the bodies involved in consumer protection in Hungary and in the Czech Republic? What happens at a lack of competence and how quickly they reach management, and how deterrent are the imposed sanctions? The subject of analysis is: how to improve the administrative law regulations.
