The Farmer as Writer and Frontiersman. Hugo Scholz and his novels Brunbacherleute and Nochstehtein Mann

Abstract

Analysis of two characteristic texts of ruralist and frontier literature in the Czech Lands written by a theoretician of German agrarism in the Czech Lands Hugo Scholze illustrates step by step the development of rural agrarian nationalism which tended in the beginning of the 1930s to the ideology of national socialism.
