The article is dedicated to chronicles, which emerged in the Capuchin monastery milieu over the 17th and 18th century. First, it introduces the Capuchin monastic practice in compilation of historical events for the future generations.
It pays special attention to the provincial decrees on the bases of which the Capuchin chronicles were mostly established. The actual substance of the article involves description of the individual topics, which authors of the Capuchin monastic houses dealt with.
