Abstract

Presented micro-study contributes to reconstruction of linguistic picture of the world, or the value system of people "aged bachelor and virgin," respectively. Research is focused on questions explicitly formulated in 19th century Czech folk song texts written in the collections by Karel Jaromír Erbehttps://verso.is.cuni.cz/obd3/img/stavy/oznac0.pngn and Jan Jeník z Bratřic.

Selected songs are analyzed from the J. Bartmiński's perspective known as Lublin school ethno-linguistic.

In the analysis, the method of semantic categorization is used, questions formulated within the text of selected songs are classified into categories according to their importance: ACTION, APPEARANCE, CONTACT, IDENTITY, MENTAL STATE, PATH, PLACE, PROCESS. Categories are interpreted in terms of quantity and quality.

Research result offers the scale of values emerged from the analysis. The text opens up further research (comparison) of the questions formulated explicitly in folk songs.
