The present Czech has resulted from the process of a long historical development, and it is constantly changing still. Modern society brings new needs for nomination therefore vocabulary of every language is always enlarging.

The paper concentrates on changes in contemporary Czech vocabulary, illustrating a considerably high number of internationalisms used in texts of some spheres namely (such as mass media, journalism, advertisement and even every-day communication). Also for that reason, it proves necessary to constantly cultivate functionally adequate and rich Czech within a framework and in a sense of language culture.
