This paper focuses on describing of the Czech transitive verbs which are able to omit the direct object in possessive resultative constructions, and on describing of the Czech intransitive verbs which are able to create possessive resultative constructions. These verbs have been divided into several groups and additionally examined in terms of their semantic properties. The goals of the paper are:
1) to describe the influence of the fact which valence complementation represents the object changed in the real world on the ability to create object-less possessive resultative constructions;
2) to describe the function of the object-less possessive resultative constructions;
3) to describe the role of the semantic category of the transitivity on these verbs and to analyze how close the transitive and intransitive verbs are in their meanings;
4) to describe properties of these groups.
