The so-called "Lichthof" Once More : On the Transmission of Concepts between Tomb and Temple

Abstract

The article traces similarities and differences in the Sun Court ("Lichthof ") decoration in different Theban tombs from the Twenty-Fifth and Twenty-Sixth Dynasty, its connection with the temple concept of the First Millennium BC, and discusses its symbolic and ritual meaning in temple tombs.
