The original textbook dedicated to systems that process on a universal basis, organize, store and make available records of documents and information resources at the level of national or international. In the first part is in the first chapter defined area for general questions of current national bibliographical systems.
Related question of the development of international cooperation in the bibliography (IIB project and UBC and UBCIM programs) is illuminated in the second chapter. Third, extensive chapter presents three large European systems of current document registration: British, German and French (the next version of the text will complement other systems).
Parts illuminate sources and data creation and also provided outputs and services including premium services of developed national bibliographic agencies - making Linked Open Data. The fourth chapter gives an explanation for the development and current state of Czech and Slovak current national bibliography.
In the second part are presented universal and international bibliographic (and cataloging) systems operating in the USA, which are of great importance for communication of bibliographic information for the entire world. The sixth chapter is devoted to the registration system of works in the U.S.
Copyright Office and to catalog of the Library of Congress in Washington. The last chapter presents the development and especially the current state of the international library network of OCLC and its World catalog (WorldCat), including its latest service - freely available Open Linked Data using the License CC-0 stage.
