Abstract
Jan Hus second life started at the moment of his death, when he became a representative and symbol of Hussite ideas to both his followers and his adversaries. During the centuries that followed, his image had undergone many transformations, received different coats of ideological paints, and was interpreted and misinterpreted to serve various purposes.
