Abstract

Description: The aim of the project is the realization of operational specimen of unique equipment for multi-zone purification and final synthesis of single crystals. The processes of rafination and synthesis occur in closed quartz system at constant well-defined pressure of Cd that is the volatile component in the Cd-Te compound.

The equipment allows us the tuning of the growth conditions involving adjustment of the equal composition of the liquid and solid, at which the formation of second phase inclusions is suppressed. In addition, the equipment will enable us the cooling of solidified crystal along the line of ideal stoichiometry in the pressure-temperature loop of phase diagram.
