Abstract
This textbook includes an organized complex of methods, notions (concepts), and an analytical apparatus which can be used for the analysis of spoken and written texts as a part of the process of communication. It brings the concepts at the level of syntax, semantics, pragmatics, as well as text segmentation The methods are demonstrated in an analysis of a concrete communicative event (written text based on a conversation of an architectonic expert with her readers).
The text should serve the students of linguistics and humanities.
