Jaroslav Kučera's Experimental Points of View: An Attempt at an Analysis of a Cinematographer's Media Practice

Abstract

The text is focused on the personality of Jaroslav Kučera, who is well-known as a progressive cinematographer, and his newly found estate, which reveal that Kučera was not only a filmmaker, but also a significant photographer and multimedia artist. The study present these new aspects of Kučera and through his personality explores various theoretical issues (archive, memory, collecting, point of view, focus and so on).
