Abstract
Knowledge and understanding of how the Catholic Church treats the Book of Gospels in its liturgy and how the Church proclaims the Good news permits to enrich our view of the relationship of the Church to the Word of God. Understanding why when reading the Gospel in the Church we all face, why do little crosses or which is the origins of the exclamations, can help us to live the Liturgy of the Word in a deeper way.
Through the liturgical gestures and words we can experience that risen Lord comes into our midst.
