Abstract
The article brings an account of Chinese lunar landing of Chang'e 3 probe and its lunar rover Yutu (Jade Rabbit) on the Moon and related scientific research programme. The article also reflects cultural, historical and filological context of names of both spacecrafts and also political context of Chinese lunar landing, especially related with the Chinese effort to compete with other world space powers and to encourage nationalism in China.
