Egyptian terracottas II

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2014

Abstract

The terracottas catalogued come mainly (except no. 29) from the private collections. The date range of the material included is from the 3rd century BC, i.e. the Ptolemaic times through the Roman period until the 5th century BC.

In addition to objects of fired clay, there are some objects and moulds of plaster. Most of the catalogued figures were made in piece-moulds, with a few items modelled by hand.
