Abstract
The book introduces the readers to the starting points, circumstances, progress, and results of the longest space flight simulation that has ever been realized. The story of the first successful "mission" to Mars of a six-member international crew is described from different perspectives as 34 authors of different nationalities and various specializations joined their forces to write the book.
Though the book is rigorously scientific, the result is a publication which is open to all readers who are interested in space travel, in the behaviours and experience of people in extreme environments or in the narration of an (un)usual story about 520 days long solitude
