Present contribution focuses on archaeological examination of a particular site of multicultural character in the Litoměřice district. Specific fortification features close visually to the disposition of Roman temporary camps were identified here.
The Institute of Classical Archaeology, Charles University in Prague in collaboration with several professionals and institutions carried out excavations and other research activities here within a project supported by Charles University Grant Agency. The results of the investigation confirmed not only the existence of the fortification system but first of all brought detailed knowledge of particular features of the fortification and their context.
