International and European protection of human rights catalogs of human rights

Abstract

The work gives a brief but comprehensive overview of international catalogs and mechanisms of human rights protection. At the universal level distinguishes constructive (derived from the UN Charter) and contractual mechanisms to protect human rights.

Then take a closer look at regional human rights law, the Council of Europe and the EU. Briefly also affects other regional human rights systems.
