Abstract
Tha article deals with the research results of intuitive knowledge of elementary school children about temporal meaning of utterances and finds partial didactic euggestions for school education in the grammatical category of verbal tense. It mentions the interference of adverbial expressions with temporal meanings and verbal tense expressed by a verb form in particular utterance and also the mutual conditioning of creating the communicative and language competence of pupils.
