Abstract
RDA cataloging code is designed as a content code. It does not address the record structure, field order, or punctuation between bibliographic data.
RDA can be used with a variety of formats, not only with the MARC formats. The paper aims to reflect trends in bibliographic control, particularly the possible use of RDA code with new formats of display and access of bibliographic data based on XML.
