Abstract
Over the last 20 years, various studies have focused on Troy as a central place, as well as on the surrounding landscape and other sites in the Troad. Thanks to the work of many specialists, a wide range of data is now available concerning the temporal development of Troy and its material culture, environmental changes, the ancient economy and use of resources, as well as changes in settlement structure throughout the hinterland of the Troad.
In our presentation we summarize and interpret some of these areas of evidence.
