Abstract

The poster will be focused on the problematic of the wine production in roman provinces of Thrace and Moesia Inferior during the Roman period. Across the pehistorical time the area of ancient Thrace was associated with intensive wine production, the ancient legends connects Thracia with Dionysus - the patron of wine.

In the general awareness of the helenistic and subsequently the roman culture Considering this cultural cotext we could expect the continuation of the wine production during the Roman period.
