The four meanings of the scripture : about the specificity of the use of the cento technique in the Middle Ages

Abstract

This paper represents a theoretical reflection about the specificity of the literary genre called "centon" in the medieval Latin litterature (Centones Claromontani as a "centon-adaptation", Quirinalia of Metellus of Tegernsee).
