The reflection of architectural design of the numidian burial monuments in the construction of late Roman tower tombs and early medieval berber djedars

Abstract

This contribution was introduced on the conference with the title Orientalia Antiqua Nova on Faculty of Arts at West Bohemian University in Plzeň. It deals with the architecture of numidian royal tombs and with continuation its tradition, which is reflecting in the decoration and architectural design of Roman burial structures of given region and early medieval berber djedars.

In addition to introduction of basic characteristics of individual structures and its mutual comparison are the concrete features demonstrated on specific examples of tombs.
