Abstract
Strategic materials of educational policy in the Czech Republic includes principles of equitable access to education. The results of the international surveys rather indicate the inequalities of the education system.
In the recent years it is paid attention to the topic of inequality in our educational system and the consequences of this inequality. The important point of that inequality is the parental choice of primary school.
Only very little information is available on the parental decision making with school choice. The paper focuses on methodological approaches to detecting cognitive skills of kindergarten children.
The aim of the research is to determine of these skills influence on the parental decision making with school choice.
