Abstract
The chapter in the monograph presents the major contribution of the two Second Vatican Council's Constitutions, Sacrosanctum Concilium and Dei Verbum for the spiritual theology. The novelty of the council can be seen in the turn to reading and listening to the Scripture.
The believers could experience the authentic revelation of Christian God through the Scriptures again. Text briefly presents the history of Catholic spirituality in this context.
