This Chapter is dedicated to the economic development of the south-central Vltava river Region in connection with the construction in Prague economic nature of the region in the early 20th century. The southern part of central Vltava, it means sedlčanského western part of the region is often associated with small peasantry and traditional agricultural production.
At the beginning of the 20th century, however, the region seems to increase the number of mines and the development of drinking. The aim of the article is to explain the expansion of extractive and manufacturing industry in this period and to highlight the fact that economic developments that are taking place, is associated with extensive construction activity in Prague, especially in the first half of the 20th century.
