Modernist Thought in Work of Antonio Fogazzaro: Saint or Heretic?

Abstract

Paper deals with Fogazzaro's novel "The Saint" and offers an analysis of its modernist thoughts. These are eventually compared with official documents of the Catholic Church with the aim of showing whether they were in compliance with the teaching of the Church.
