Abstract

Mobility is a dominant aspect of contemporary late modern society both in relation to working life and the rest of every day life. The higher mobility of the society the more likely there is a direct contact between different nationalities.

Especially youth mobility has been supported via different exchange programs between countries. One of the most popular exchange programs for students in Russia is Work and Travel USA.

In this work I would like to to take a look at the direct contact factor from Bar-Tals integrative model od stereotype formation and the behavior of students from Russia in the USA during Work and Travel program, because according to the socio-cultural thesis, members of a given group form stereotypes of another group by observing the bahavior performed by the stereotyped group.
