Abstract
The study deals with the cultural history of early modern Bohemian towns and the influence of the Thirty Years' War on it. The core of the study is the analysis of the sources concerning so called "literate brotherhood" - the association dealing with the latin and Czech spiritual chants.
The study contains also the edition of the accounts of the literate brotherhood from the years 1641-1648.
