Abstract

The United States is one of a few countries primarily blamed for a stalemate regarding strong international action against climate change. The U.S.

Congress has been deadlocked on the environment at least since 2010. U.S. politics has become more polarized than ever, and climate change has become one of the most divisive topics, even though many moderate Republicans were initially in favor of action against GHG emissions, and talked about climate change as a scientifically proven fact.
