Abstract

Preparations for the trials with Nazi criminals and the trials itself raised a lot of controversial issues after the WWII. Most of the tribunals that were constituted at the end of the war were extraordinary judicial bodies.

These had many specifics in comparison with traditional courts in the regular criminal procedure. Likewise in cases of some individual judges we can track down particular personal stories, which could hardly be found in any other historical period.
