The development of administrative justice in the Czech Republic

Abstract

The article deals with the development of the administrative judiciary in the Czech Republic. With regard to the continuity of the development of administrative justice is given to the introduction of legislation, administrative justice before the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918.

The essential throughout the development of administrative justice is the existence of the First Republic's Supreme Administrative Court, which was established in 1918 and effectively ceased to exist in 1952, and was reestablished in 2003. For much of the communist period, the Supreme Administrative Court did not exist and also the administrative judiciary was performed, with the exception of the judiciary of insurance.

For the development of administrative justice was therefore significant in 1992, when it managed to recover administrative justice, and in 2003, when was the Supreme Administrative Court, as it generally known. The article presents an overview of basic transformations administrative justice during the past century.
