Vatican Council II still plays a decisive role in the present and future of the Catholic Church. But not only that; it addresses people of the entire world and many segments of the society have received some of its message.
The book is outcome of the collective endeavour of the participants of an international conference held at the Catholic Faculty of Teology, Charles University in Prague. The book is divided in four parts.
First two concentrate on the historical approach. Part One emphasizes the significance of the Vatican II in the European historical context.
Part two tries to access the influence of the conciliar work on the life of the Church in Czechoslovakia. Third, the personal testimony concerning by ecumenical seminary.
Last, the role of Greek Catholic Church in the post-conciliar history of the Church in Czechoslovakia is highlighted.
