The paper deals with a critical analysis of Darwin's theory of evolution, or rather the crucial ideas of Charles R. Darwin.
Darwin's conclusions are critically discussed in context with modern theories of evolutionary biology. The aim of this study is to stress the main Darwin's ideas which are currently still valid and those that have already been overcome.
Although evolutionary biology passes through rapid development and involves many individual evolutionary theories, it appears that some of Darwin's deductions are still current and newly come to life from the perspective of modern knowledge.
