Abstract
The aim of my contribution is to summarize the development of historiography in 2nd half of the 20th century. I try to describe the basic changes of historical research that led to the formation of historical anthropology.
Historical anthropology is a theoretical and methodological approach that stands between anthropology and history. Historical anthropology uses anthropological methods and theories on historical research and tries to study history from the view of actors and from their roles in history.
Contribution is also focused on the beginning of subjectivity in history, new cultural history and the postmodern critique of historiography.
