Copreneurs are the most basic unit of family-owned businesses, and such firms comprise a significant component of the small business sector in nations' economies around the world. The project deals with the dynamics of copreneurial couples; specifically, with how they manage the boundaries between their family and work spheres.
In connection with the current direction of entrepreneurship research, which highlights the significance of context (Ahl, 2006; Welter, 2011), I will look for both formal and informal institutional factors of the Czech and Slovak environments that influence the boundary management and construction of entrepreneurial and domestic identities and how work/family management is gendered.
