History of Everyday Life as a comprehensive methodological approach currently is for more than a quarter-century an instrument of historical science in the recon-struction of historical processes and events. The article specifically demonstrates the application of methodology of the history of everyday life, evaluate the effects of collectivization in the border districts of Šumperk and Zábřeh in the years 1951-1953, all based on the results of research conducted as part of author's thesis.
Throughout this period were, for establishing of the communist dictatorship, present all aspects of the crisis, with escalating repression as a symptom of the growing legitimacy of the new social order. Despite efforts to control society authorities responded with a litany of different strategies and methods of action, which is best shown in the article discussed in detail case of Julie Ajglová.
The traditional mentality of rural population and its vision of a contented life showed significant continuity, defying the efforts of revolutionary change.
