Abstract
The purpose of the symposium is to gather together specialists on various death-related aspects of Buddhist tradition. The presentations will explore the processes and issues of death-related ritual performance, change and diversity in Buddhist Rituals Death in India, China and Korea.
Each presenter will introduce a segment of the rich history of Buddhist rituals of death or death-related doctrinal issues. The aim of the symposium is to shed light on how the concepts and rituals changed and what is their role today.
