Abstract
The aim of the article is to introduce Bárðar saga Snæfellsáss, one of the so called late family sagas, to the Czech readers. In the introductory part of the article some characteristic features of the saga are described.
I suggest that based on these features this saga should be regarded as popular literature of its time. The second part of the article contains a Czech translation of the final chapters of the saga.
