The brief paper about the literary activities of the members of the canonry in Roudnice nad Labem deals with three authors that are known by name and whose works are preserved. Stephan of Uherčice (known as well as Stephan of Roudnice, died ca. 1365) is the author of a well-known treatise Quaestiunculae.
Petr Klarifikátor (Petrus Clarificator, died after 1406) wrote the biography of the archbishop John of Jenštejn or the treatises Compendium honeste vite and Collectio super statuta sive Dietarius observancie regularis. Matouš Beran (died 1461) was a compiler rather than a real author, three of his collections are preserved in autograph.
