Abstract
The paper deals with Otokar Fischer, who has been active in refugee organizations in an effort to preserve the best of German cultural and intellectual legacy. Fischer believed that the nation that gave the world of Goethe, could fail as a whole, but those of his representatives who renounce the ideals of democracy and liberalism is required at all times to help regardless of their political or ethnic affiliation.
