the article follows the remarks made by Jaroslav Kolár and extends the hypothesis that the work of Hájek z Libočan is one of a coherent conception supported by an authorial intent, based on the typology and role of the incidental episodic narrations (narace) found in the czech chronicle, which do not only demonstrate the purpose and integrity of the work as a piece of literature, but also indicate the unique consideration Hájek showed for his (ideal) reader.
