Walter Scott, James Hogg and John Gibson Lockhart are very important authors of the Scottish Romanticism. W.

Scott's novels were translated into Czech numerous times since the mid-19th century, however he is not as famous and not as much read in the Czech Republic as in Russia. J.

Hogg was rediscovered in the 20th century. The Czech translation of his novel won the Magnesia Litera literary prize.
