The goal of this chapter is to present the Rosenberg water mills from the technical and economic point of view. It also aims to point out to an interesting source from the end of the 16th century, which stemmed from an intended reform of the seigneurial economy.
The reform later became known as the ""zoning"". The study is meant to be a thorough description of all the peasant and seigneurial mills in the three largest dominions (Třeboň, Krumlov and Nové Hrady) that made up the core of the southbohemian Rosenberg domain.
