Abstract

The essay deals with the provenance of the so called Codex Speciálník (Hradec Králové: Museum of Eastern Bohemia / CZ-HKm, Ms. Hr 7).

It re-examines the reading of the inscription on the front pastedown and tries to attribute the manuscript to the Prague church of St. Peter-on-the-gutter (Na Struze).

Moreover, it discusses the Prague Speciálník (Praha: National library / CZ-Pu, Ms. 59 R 5116). It also deals with hitherto unknown speciálník that was discovered in 1780 at Lesser Town of Prague, transferred to the University (today National) library and finally stollen in the first half of the 19th century.
