Abstract
The book summarizes current approaches to the diagnosis, treatment and long-term follow of patients with type 2 diabetes. The chapters are focused on the diagnosis of diabetes, the treatment algorithm of type 2 diabetes and also the treatment of the most common pathologies present in patients with type 2 diabetes such as arterial hypertension , dyslipidemia and obesity.
The separate chapters are devoted to insulin therapy, physical activity in patients with diabetes and bariatric surgery. One chapter summarizes frequently occuring mistakes in the treatment of diabetes and the final chapter describes the perspectives of prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes.
