A reform of the Czech health care system financing in the context of global economic crisis

Abstract

All EU countries faced cost savings in health care systems as a reaction to the economic crisis in the first decade of new millennium. In the same time Czech health care system experienced several reforms and the article analyses the last ones in the years 2007-2013 in the area of healthcare financing in the context of the global economic crisis.

Although the Czech health care reforms in the years 2007-2013 were not a direct response to the economic crisis, their contents primarily copied the concept of efficiency.
