This paper aims to describe and analyse interaction profiles of two kindergarten teachers with many years of pedagogical experience who themselves lead preparatory swimming lessons for children of 3 - 4 years, and thereby contribute to the objectification of ideas about specific didactic interactions in physical learning in the water. For purposes of determining the interaction profiles of both teachers we have chosen the method of participant observation, subsequently followed by implementing the method of data collection taking video recordings of the relevant swimming lessons which were subsequently evaluated using a modified analysis of didactic interaction (MADI).
